Decorative Blocks are common to the Victorian era but also useful
in numerous modern day applications. Decorative Corner Blocks eliminate
the need to miter both inside and outside corners in base, chair
rail and crown mould. Plinth Blocks add a decorative bridge
between the door casing and base mould junction - also allowing
for the use of shorter casing legs. Rosettes
add intrigue to the door and window heads. Keystones are
installed in the center of the head casing; commonly used with
circular, elliptical or eyebrow radius openings.
A Sizing Note: Decorative Blocks
should be sized 1/4" to 1/2" wider and a minimum of 1/4"
thicker than your trim profile. Please feel free to contact us
for help with properly sizing Decorative Blocks to your
application.
