Surfaced on 4 Sides (S4S) Fine Lumber

Our S4S is surfaced or dressed to a uniform width and thickness on all four board sides. We offer an array of wood species in a wide selection of standard and custom sizes in fine Appalachian hardwoods. Our S4S is run through a molder to yield a smooth milled finish while maintaining exacting tolerances

The cost of S4S material includes all waste factors and machining costs necessary to convert rough lumber to a finished, pre-dimensioned, fully dressed board. S4S is sold on a lineal or running foot basis.

S4S stock is commonly used in cabinet making, furniture and trim components and wood hobbyists, alike.
