(Taxodium distichum) among the top woods for exterior use. With its legendary hardiness and durability, cypress performs well in both interior and exterior applications. Cypress is easily machined and with a suitable surface treatment, has superior durability in above grade exterior applications and excellent stain and paint retention (view more information on cypress).

Noted for its beautiful color consistency and density, Cypress contains cypressene, a natural preservative oil which lends the heartwood natural resistance to insects and decay. Where as CCA pressure-treated decking contains dangerous arsenic salts that may cause adverse reactions, especially in children.

Select Grade Kiln Dried Cypress Decking Eased Edge 4-Sides TinyTIMBERS Select Grade displays the most refined beauty the cypress wood has to offer. Crafted from the highest grade of cypress, the Select grade provides a consistent and harmonious appearance, virtually free of mineral discolorations, and other natural variations, excepting an occasional small, sound knot. Kiln Dried, features include approximately 35% individually hand-selected character; such as mainly sound knots, worm holes, mineral discolorations, and/or other non-structural type naturally occurring character. Due to the inherent natural character, the common grade should only be specified if your installation can utilize random lengths.
